Ok guys, as you know I like the 450 helis…
My SE-V2 clone uses three cells, (11.1v). But the new Align 450L Dominator uses a six cell pack; why the big change?

Bigger blades. 3s can handle up to 360mm blades. The dom l is a 380mm kit. It simply needs a more battery and motor.

I base it on Ohm's law. The higher the voltage, the lower the amperage giving the same wattage. Less wear and tear on the electronics running higher voltage. And as stated, it can swing larger blades easier and more efficiently and have more power while doing it.

All of my 450's are 3s, but my Goblin 380 is 6s. I would never put a 3s on the Goblin.

The 450L actually swings 360mm blades. Unless they have what I have, which is a Dominator frame with a standard Pro V2 head, tail, tail boom and blades lol. I like the battery mounting better on the Dom.

Going off of memory here, but I think it's the battery tray, head, gyro mount, tail block and maybe the servo mounts for the cyclic.
