:glee:The build so far. I have disassembled all parts, greased and oiled and applied loctite 243 to all metal to metal screws. Braided all servo wires for a bit of extra protection. Main frame is assembled with all components fitted. See attached pics. 3Gx is bound but thats it.Swash plate and servo arms are yet to be leveled and set to 90 deg. I ran all the wiring except 2 to the right side of the frame so that if I needed to get in for repairs it should make it easier to remove the left side to allow access. Cheers Andy.P3271006 (1024x768).jpgP3271007 (1024x768).jpgP3271008 (1024x768).jpg:glee:

Looks great. Did the same thing on the RCH 600.

I braided my wires now in the whiplash ...

BUT. I had cut off three inches of it as it made the wires too stiff going all the way to the gyro.. ( I had a full U turn to get to the gyro also..) so didn't want it to teas far vibrations

Just be sure of one thing, that the wires aren't extremely stiff that'll mean that your 3GX will vibrate with the heli's vibrations and cause issues .

See my wires before

And then

Once I installed them :

I left about 1/2 an inch of bare wires on the gyro end mainly so I could see the wire colours. I think I need an extension from the ESC it is a bit tight. Cheers A

yes, thats cap bank .. my esc to battery wire length ends up being upto 13-14inches. so to reduce ripple voltages caused by impedance in long big gauge wires. and prevent brownouts in case there is a spike of needed current

I went to Fry's and picked up 20 ft for like 5 or 6 bucks. Its wire braiding .. They have it in cable management :)

Yup, I picked mine up from a company called Spektra Wire & Cable, or Cable and Wire, one of those. VERY cheap and easy to use. Makes for a GREAT look on the heli.

Try any of your stores that sell electronics for computers etc, they carry all sorts of goodies, inc. switches, doublesided foam tapebraided wire cover, heatshrink etc, that can be utilized in RC's. Cheers Andy.
