Okay, take some acetone, alcohol, some kind of no residue solvent and clean the threads on the crank and on the nut really good. And if your thread locker is old, get a new bottle. Definitely Blue medium strength, never red. And get name brand if you can, it holds better.

Nylon nut will not work due to the heat. You can try a lock washer, just make sure it doesn't push the nut too far out. Definitely check clearance.

That is a great tool and works perfectly.

If you are wanting something that is pretty much free, take some twine and push as much as you can through the glow plug hole and start tightening. This will lock the engine so that you can tighten that nut really well.
