Kits Telemaster build

My 6ft Telemaster ARF arrived the other day and the build starts tomorrow. Although the kit is designed for an electric motor I will be using an OS46 glow motor as a power source, (just have to re-enforce the firewall). I will also be using a Spektrum DX5e transmitter, an AR600 receiver and 7 standard servos. The parts and accessories, that came with the kit, are of surprising high quality. I have the good fortune to have an expert modeler to assist me. I am looking forward to the build and I will try to keep you posted. http://http://www.hobby-lobby.com/6_foot_telemaster_electro_arf_v2_oversize_1034835_prd1.htm

you may want to rethink the TX and maybe the RX for this build. The DX5e is a non programable 5 channel radio, 7 servos wont work on it. As for the rx not to sure that one, I have a feeling it might be a 6 channel RX not enough channels on there for 7 servos.

Seven servos does sound like a lot but you need 2 for the ailerons, (on "y" harness), 2 for the flaps, (also on "y" harness), and one each for rudder, elevator and throttle.

Yup, it can be done with the DX5e, just a little harder to setup compared to a computer Tx.

The Telemaster is a GREAT aircraft, and putting a .46 on the nose is going to put plenty of power up there. The only thing I would be worried about is the weight of the motor and setting the CoG correctly.

Can't wait for the build, and great to see you around here again.

I wish I could afford a programmable TX but with a $700.00 layout for this build I am just a little tight. The DX5e was a gift and the OS46 was used but in great shape. $50.00 was not a bad price for a $150.00 OS.

No complaints from this side, you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. I'm sure you will have great success with this build as well as a lot of fun building it. I still need to finish my telemaster build lol.
