    Hi everybody!
I am new to this forum and to the RC heli world, currently trying to setup my first heli ever: a kit Hobbyking Assault 450 DFC. Just as I thought I'm doing great, I realized something might not be right with the swash plate mixing function, and just can't figure out exactly what it is that I'm doing wrong.

So I'm using a Futaba 7C transmitter with a R617FS receiver and Align 3gx FBL system. There are two servos at the front acting as aileron/pitch servos and one at the back for elevator. The tail servo is not connected for now.

The problem: pitch seems to be working fine (all three servos raise or lower the plate together), as well as elevator (tilts the plate back and forth alone), but when I give aileron input, only one of the front servos works, the other one just doesn't do anything.

I've tried several different swashplate types on the transmitter, as well as swapping between some channels, but nothing seems to be making a difference. Any idea where should I look next?

I would really appreciate any help, I can provide pics or vids of the problem if needed or any further information.

    Thanks,
    Chen

I don't do heli's... but... Check that the servo's are plugged into ch1 and ch6. Then the only things that could affect it ( unless you have a bad servo ) is one may need to be reversed or perhaps a mix is setup that is incorrect.

    Thank you!
    That was the problem.

What confused me was the wiring diagram in the 3gx manual that states pitch goes to channel 3. Funny thing is that Align uses the R617FS in their software for the wiring illustration, so didn't doubt it for a second.
    Cheers!

You're welcome... and consider yourself lucky since I'm not a heli guy, but I can RTFM... LMAO

Oh... just an FYI in case you aren't aware of it... Futaba has their throttle channel reversed from other radio's... so if you have an issue there, that would be something to check.

Thanks a lot! I'll keep that in mind for the next session.
