Spektrum spurios signal problems with extension cables?

I build multirotors and friend of mine said putting servo extension cables from ESC to receiver or banana plug connectors between ESC and Motor can cause spurious signals that would degrade performance. He's all about direct solder connections which is probably the best thing but sometimes that's not the best solution. Has anyone experienced such disruptions with extensions or banana plugs?

p.s. I was trying to find a section to post this as it is a very general question that could apply to almost any type of build.

I have never had a problem, and I have had to use extensions on some of my quad builds.
I use bullets on all my bigger quads, still no issues.
They do introduce potential failure points but so do poor solder joints. :)

That is great news. Was hoping for that answer. What is your experience with keeping the length of the control wires the same from receiver to ESC?
