Servos Servo testing

just a quick question, with the Futaba BL S257 Brushless digital servo, is it ok to use my Turnigy servo tester to test it with? And should I use a 2s or 3s battery to do so? Or does it matter.
Just being a little more careful since this is a servo for a friend I've rebuilt...

This servo can only handle 4.8 volts, so even a 2s lipo will put too much voltage to it and will burn it up. I would test it with a BEC set to 4.8 if you can. Otherwise, put it on his heli and test it there as long as it has the correct voltage. Which I assume it does.

I just ran it through my ol EFlight ESC hooked up to a 2s pack through my Turnighy servo tester
It worked. Didn't stress it or anything just ran it for a couple seconds to see if it would operate...centered it shut
it off. Hopefully it didn't screw it up!

More than likely, you put 5v into it, which is what most ESC's put out unless they are switchable. so that shouldn't have hurt it at all.

It's my go to setup for servo test and centering lol
The ESC is one of my spares for the SR....
Oh is there a way to test a motor with that setup?
I've seen guys do that but didn't know how they had it set up...
