Boats Scrap building boat

Im building a boat from plastic shell up. How can i attach the motor and drive shaft together. Was using a cup and dog bone end but it didnt lsst very long.
It wants to go but i blow up the plastic dog and cup.

They should make couplers just for this purpose. I have no idea where you would get them though.
