Quad Replacement props?

I have a DJI F550 naza hexa copter and the motor spindles are 3.17mm. With the adapters that come with the props all I need to worry about is what size prosp to buy correct? The adapters will reduce to whatever size collet screw that I am using correct? By the way the screw size is 4.80mm. The funny thing is that my props right now have a bottom and top hole that measures 6.20 and 5.22 should they not both measure that same size? You can tell by my question that I am one lost guy.

Sure that is right. The prop adapter fits your 3.17mm motor shaft and the prop will be fit to the collet threads with the adapters that come with most props. What ever the size is 5mm, 6mm and so on.

After remeasuring one of the holes in another props I get a good fit from prop to the screw size. I think I ight have an odd ball adapter in one of my props. No big deal I can change it out pretty easy.
