General Radio setup for flybarless

Hello everyone

I'm new to flybarless. Been using flybar for many years now.
I get a little confused when it comes to radio setup. On a flybar helicopter when you set the swash type you set it according to the head (120 you use 120. etc etc). When it comes to flybarless i see alot of videos saying to use 90 degree or 1 servo swash etc. even if the head is 3servo 120degrees. Is there any explanation to this.

yes the radio when set to 120deg 3 servo does the mixing, when you set to 90deg 1 servo the fly bar less unit will do the mixing,

It will tell you in the instructions of the unit you buy, what settings need to be in your radio, but yes most, if not all are this way.

I would say most fbl units require 1 servo setting.

Like stated before RTF(ull)M before getting started.

On my 500 dfc with 3gx I needed to use 120 degrees in my tx. The 3gx uses the settings in your tx for swashplate.
