Craig why would you need the tbs core when the QAV allready has a power distribution board built in?

This is an OSD with optional current sensor, RSSI and input battery voltage display.
Also it supplies power to the video system(camera and VTX) with a built in switching power supply 5 or 12 volts.
All from your main battery pack....

TBS wrote "In a nutshell, it simplifies FPV setups and is a safety feature every FPV plane should have. No more cutouts due to low voltage,
single battery FPV systems prevent you from forgetting to charge spare batteries, the simplified wiring reduces points of failure."

Got the esc's finished up
Removed the last BEMF capacitors and put the heat shrink on them.
Then soldered them to the main board.
I put bullets on the esc's because I may swap out the control boards and this will let
me change the motor rotation very easy if the controller differs from the other.

This pic is before I remove the BEMF caps

This is after I remove the BEMF caps

I have the heat shrink ready to install

Heat shrink installed and esc's soldered to the main board.

Looking good Craig. Most everyone solders the esc to the motors on these though!
Thanks... I did direct solder motor and esc on the last 5 Quads I built. But I have 2 different FC I will be trying on this Quad.
And it makes more sense to have it were I can change the rotation of the motors until I get through testing.
A lot less of a hassle than de-soldering and re-soldering each time i want to change. ;)
Once I decide on my FC I will make the connection more permanent as I always do.

BTW a few more to parts/ toys came in the mail today to play with... :excitement:

My openpilot CC3D FC

I also got my CCW prop adapters. ferrite rings
And my Layered Lens for the GoPro 3 Black Edition
The CCW prop adapters will tighten the prop nut
on the CW spinning motors. No chance of it becoming loose..

Had a few minutes this evening after work......
So I mounted my MT-4006-13 Tiger Motors to the arms and braided
the motor leads. I also removed the servo plugs so I could braid the
esc control leads.

Wow the motor wires on the Tigers are super long. I cut mine down on the FM4008s.

Thanks.... yeah they give you plenty of wire. I will be cutting my motor leads soon as I set the rotation.

Got a little more done on the QAV....

You can see in this pic how much
motor wire I cut off.

Tiger Motors MT-4006-13 740KV

Went the extra steps to keep RF out of my
Quad... I Braided the esc's and added ferrite rings

19 - QAV500.JPG
Added my Rib Bones landing Gear.
I went with these for ground clearance.
If I do a downward facing
camera or mount one on bottom they will
be away from objects on the ground.

My settings might not work on your quad seeing that it's not a QAV. These are my settings.

100/100/120/100, att 90/90

Go to the dji websight and down load the manual. READ it! It's way to complicated to describe on here. For the go home and land you need to set up failsafe in the RX. You have to set up a couple of switches in the tx. There are plenty of videos on you tube on how to set it up. Watch and learn. Call me and I'll try to walk you through it. If you have anything other than a dx8 or an ar8000 RX then I can't help you.
