Had a great day out at the field today with Beachy, here's what we brought with today.

The winds were a bit more than slight, and proved to be a challenge on takeoffs only. The occasional gust was not really predictable, but stayed from the same direction.
Aside from our first encounter with the Death Spiral, the day was a total sucess.
Beachy had a chance to step his Ares Gamma 370 from 2 to 3 cells for his final flight. You should have seen his smile when he felt the new life in his plane.
I had a bad toss take off with my Wildcat on it's second battery, where the wind caught the underside of the wing after too much elevator on take off. Nosed it in from a rather low altitude, but took out the right rear wing. No glue on site, so I packed it up.
The RCH trainer developed a floppy top wing and had to be taken down before something drastic happened. Thanks to Beachy for noticing the flex as I entered a loop.
Well, 2 fresh 3-cell 2200mAh batteries and more excitement was needed. So back to the car for the TRex 450.

A total confidence builder! Nose into the wind and try some outdoor hoovering.
I made it through both of those batteries without tipping in the tall grass. A couple of instances where the wind made it exciting, a couple of controlled bails, and many soft landings. This thing was a lot more in control with the winds we had out there. There was only a time or two where I held it on the ground to let the wind die down.
I was impressed with myself. Beachy was impressed with my "skills", and I am not afraid to take this beauty out of the family room and into the great outdoors where it belongs.

Great Flyday! Thanks Beachy for all your inflections when the heli was heading towards danger. Like I really need someone else making me sweat! LOL
