Motors Pinion gears

I just changed out the pinion on my Honey Bee King 4, this is the second time I've changed it due to wear. I'm surprised that the brass pinion is wearing instead of the main gear. I see that my Blade 450 uses the same size pinion gear. Has anyone else had pinion wear and whether the repalcement for the Blade 450 might be of a better quality, harder brass, and last longer. The pinion is a 10T 5M.

If its the right number of teeth, pitch and fits your motor, then why not.

Like Lee said if all the sizes are correct, i would change it especially if you are getting that amount of wear. You would expect the metal too last longer, sounds like it is just cheap made. Interchanging parts should not be an issue providing all sizes and dimensions are the same. look at it as an upgrade.:)
