MY Very First Helicopter..well kinda

Some of you may remember them, some may be too young.
I remember as a kid, one year for Christmas I got a helicopter. It had a base that the stiff wire attached too and ran up to the heli.
It would go round and around in a circle and backwards, You could fly it low or high and pickup stuff with a hook and move it around and set it down.
I played with that a bunch and think it was the coolest toy ever invented.
I wore that thing out LOL
I have seen newer versions over the years and even ones you hold and fly in while turning in circles, but this had a control on the base I think.
I am talking somewhere from around 1968 to 1974 or so LOL yea long ago.
I bet someone still sells one maybe on ebay LOL
Anyway thought I would share a moment from my childhood hahaha

Oh yeah, I had one of those as well. Got bored with it after about 5 minutes and never looked back. I think I used it to hit my sisters with from behind the couch though...

COLLGABSI; I have one that I flew over are cats one looked like it was going to jump & grab it! The other one ran under a chair! Have fun flying them though! Dave

Yup, i had one to i remember a small hook on the bottom to pick up plastic crates, i played with mine for hours
