Awesome! I want cases for all my heli's. A case for the 450 will be easy to get. I'll have to build cases for the 500 & 600.

Okay, so enough with the teasing. The 450 Pro V2 is back in the hands of it's original owner.

I purchased this helicopter in June 2012 and did the build series on it. I wasn't lying when I said it was getting over 100º outside and the wife needed AC in her car. What I didn't expect is that her engine would crap out a couple months after putting AC on the car. But in July, on the 21st, the deal was done, and the helicopter was sold to Adam in Indiana.

Sometime last year I think, the helicopter was again sold, but this time to Matt here in Oklahoma. Go figure, sell it to the ONE member on here that I see regularly lol. Hey, whatever, at least it was getting flown.

Well, Matt wants something bigger, he wants to build something, and he is putting together the 110 gallon tank that I sold him (there is a pattern here). So, we worked out a trade.

And with that, the helicopter is back in my hands. Yup, it's a little worse for wear, but what do you expect, it was actually flown! Now, I just have to get these ugly ass blue and yellow gears off this thing and stick some black gears in the tail. Oh yeah, and go helical lol.

Hoping to get some videos done that I have been meaning to do for quite a while. Here's hoping.

It will be a while. Still have a lot of work to do on this helicopter before I can put it in the air. I'm not sure how Matt didn't strip out this front gear, but it was way too loose. I'm going to have to give him crap abotu that one lmao.

Looks like I'm going to have to make a couple orders. Some of the screws on this helicopter are not align and are rounded out. Small things, mainly my OCD kicking in. And I dont' think I want to know what this sticky stuff is on the tail boom under the block...

I never knew you could purchase a helicopter new AND used lmao. But, I did it.

Going through the helicopter, I have found that either Adam or Matt tightened the screws on this thing WAY too tight. I'm slowly going through the helicopter and getting everything free'd up. I have stuck a DFC head on the helicopter and yet again, I'm having binding issues in the auto gear. But, that is a simple fix. I have also put black gears in teh tail, but again, needs some tweaking to get perfect.

I did find that the front gears (as stated before) on teh tail were very loose. I cna't believe they never stripped out. I also found the bearing in teh tail boom had broke free from teh shaft and slid all the way forward. I cleaned and reglued this into place once again.

I have also removed the blue and yellow main and auto gears, adn put on helical white gears. Looks MUCH better. Put the helical pinion on the motor as well, and realized, there is NOT a flat spot on that motor shaft. This will soon change. I can see where the pinion was spinning on the shaft.

I know, I'm a picky SOB, but it's all a part of the hobby when you buy used lol. I'm still ecstatic about having this helicopter back and hopefully, get a couple flights in on it this weekend. Doubt it, but hopefully...
