Batteries Lipo or nimh

Hey Chaps!
Can I replace the 4.8 volt nimh flight pack for a 7.4 volt 1900 mah lipo if I put a voltage step down in to 5.1 volts?

What bird are you using it in, does it run the motor, what current will it draw?

Yes sorry. It only runs receiver and servos. Rip max Acro Wot.

Check the voltage of the RX and servos. As long as you run below that, yes you can.

Thanks Lee. Yes the servos and rx can handle the power. Will the batt last longer than a standard 4.8v NIMH?
