Ikon self level has been a topic of debate. For some it's the best thing since the wheel.. For some it's a nightmare

Well.. I found a guy at my field today with an ikon on his 250 tt.. He said :

I hit SL on the ground once ... And swash tilts

I switch out

I go in again and then turn it off again

Do this multiple times and for some reason every time , the ikon seems to average it all out to level swash haha and then be takes off

He showed me this on his 250.. And yep ... Just like he had said

His 550 has no tilt issues, so it works perfect

Now I haven't tested it , I am not gonna take responsibility for it lol

But just thought I would put this out there :)

Have fun

I haven't had any weirdness on SL behavior, either bench testing or in the air. I haven't tested it too much though. I need to do a flight or two dedicated to testing it under different recovery situations. What I've seen of it so far, though, has been well behaved.

I am glad.. I have just not tried it on mine lol

I did finally start the Bluetooth module and it works beautifully!!

I dont think its doing what he thinks its doing. I noticed that on the bench also. If you keep flicking SL on/off you will get less and less tilt with each flick. But once in the air the tilt will return at least that was my experience.

That is why when I gave the instructions about how to zero your swash I said to unplug the battery and plug it back in so the system resets. That way you can ensure your tilt is gone. Someone will need to do some experiments any volunteers? :D
