I have always liked the 1/8th scale buggies. They just sound amazing.
As for busting the shock, that happens a lot when you break an arm. There is a lot of weight on those things and something has to give, and when it does, It takes everything attached to it with it.
The pull cord, you have a couple options. If you have a slot in the chassis where the flywheel goes though, you can get a starter box for it and remove that pull start. Much easier to start.
But the buggy looks great.
