ESC Hobbywing Platinum V3 100A-HV 100 Amp ESC

This is my first HW ESC and need some help on understanding setting up the Governor Store. Could someone give some detail on how to? I've been searching the web but instructions are vague. No BEC on this ESC. Thanks, T

With a linear throttle curve in normal mode, move the throttle to mid stick, and disengage throttle hold. Let the motor spool fully spool up at mid throttle for 15-20 seconds, and then bring the throttle back to zero and let it spool all the way down. Unplug the ESC and then set your desired throttle curves for your target head speeds. Since there is no way to set actual head speeds in the ESC like you can with castle, you`ll need to use a tach to get the head speeds you want. Hope this helps.

Ok thank you, so setting head speeds is then done with flat throttle curves?

Yes. use flat curves when you set your head speeds.

Sounds simple enough. Just one last thing, can this be done, (at least for starters) with the motor pinion disengaged? Obviously the load of the blades will need more throttle but maybe get in the ball park...

I always do the setup at the field, with the blades on and the pinion engaged.
