My bird came in with a bad tail motor and I'd like to replace it, boom and all but am unable to get the boom out of the body.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have never had one of those, but looking at it the tail boom is either pressed in quite tightly into the frame, or they used a little glue to keep it in if it doesn't have a screw to clamp it into place. Not saying to break your frame, but you may need to add some force to get these two apart.

Hi sw10mm, welcome to the forum, From what I can see that tail boom is friction fit ( just pushed in ) you may get some more info from this Video in which this fellow re-builds, strengthens and refits a tail boom.

Update: Thanks again for your help. I put a little padding on the boom and used some vice grips. A tap with a hammer got it free. Now if I can get the other one connected, we'll be in business.
