Misc Gyro

Does it matter how a drone Or heli for that matter, is stored in reference to it's gyro? In other words will storing it hanging sideways affect how accurate the gyro is?

For a multi-rotor, definitely not an issue. Helis with piezoelectric gyros I'm not sure about but those are pretty old now anyway. MEMS and newer shouldn't be an issue either.

Thanks. It was just a thought cause I have a drone that sub trims won't fix drift. I've tried re-calibration to no avail. Even have tried binding it at a tilt to see if the gyro would accept that as the 'new level'. Still likes to drift. Makes it hard to get good still shots. Good to know, tho. thanks

I leave all of my helicopter hanging on the wall tail straight down and they are all just fine. Might just be a bad board. Hope you get it resolved soon!
