FBL Gyro gyro positioning

Does it matter as to how a gyro is positioned relative to the tail boom as long as it is not inverted (label side down). In other words, doe the side of the gyro that is perpendicular to the tail boom matter? Specifically, this is with reference to a single axis fb heli gyro. Thanks.

Hi,
Usually the gyro is mounted flat and at 90 degrees with respect to main shaft. Be sure to use shock pads supplied with gyro. Physical orientation should be supplied with your gyro instructions. If you do not have them, your manufacture should have it on their web site. Hope this helps!

As stated above. The gyro manufacturer should tell you which way it should be mounted. But in general its face up with the dials. As to which way its pointing, that doesn't matter. Yaw will be Yaw which ever way its rotated.

Edit: Bruno, I moved this to the gyro section, and deleted the other thread for you, as people were answering this one.
