FBL Gyro gp790 and the ds420 combo and tail wag

I am in the process of building the Align 450 sport V2. Some research indicated the gyro/servo combo is inadequate and results with inevitable tail wag. Does any one have an opinion our experience with this combination?

There shouldn't be any issue with that setup. If you are getting wag, first try lowering the gain. If that doesn't work, move the ball in closer to the center of the tail servo. That will slow the reaction down of the servo.

also double check you tail for buttery smooth action make sure your tail ball joints are sized correctly.... any binding or restriction at all can cause an issue and wags can result.

Got my ball link sizing tool from helidirect.com yesterday. Definitely makes a difference. Necessary tool. Silky smooth operation.

Frame and head complete. Gotta install electronics after the holiday weekend.
