I picked up this motor from a guy who was selling it as 'spares or repair'. It's a pretty high end motor but his heli had a vibration problem which he blamed on motor balance, plus it had of the paint on the can worn off where something had been rubbing. I got it for $34 which is nothing when you consider this was originally a $300 motor
So i bolted it into a spare frame and run it up... smooth as silk
I'm not sure what was causing his vibration but it wasn't the motor. Seemed a shame to have such a nice motor spoiled by the damaged paint on the can so i gave it a bit of a re-spray. She's looking like new now. I'm going to try this in the Trex 700X and see how it compares to the big 850MX Align motor:
