General Glow Motors To Electric Motors Conversion Table

I am looking for a table to convert Plans that use Glow Motors over to Electric.
Cox .020 =
Cox .049 =
Cox .09 =
Ect.

From what I'm reading, you basically take the displacement of the engine (.049 in this case) and multiply it by 2000 to get the total watts you need in order to make the plane fly. Then, you look at all of those motors and find one that has the right dimensions to fit where the ole cox .049 fit. Should use the same prop as the ole cox engine as well. well, same pitch and length. Use an APC prop for best performance.

In this case, .049*2000=98 watts. So it's a pretty small motor, but that engine only put out a tenth of a horse power so you don't need much.
