Projects FT Mini Arrow

After recently building the FT Sparrow and seeing how easy it was I decided to take on the FT Mini Arrow.
I like Josh Bixlers designs and the way he sets out his build videos.
I will keep this brief as there is already heaps of information out there on this little wing.
I downloaded and printed the tiled plans, stuck them together and cut them out.

I cut out the foam and built some wings and things.

Then stuck it all together.

I fitted some electronics and there she is, ready for a maiden.
I think I may have gone a little overkill with the motor.
I fitted a 2205 2700kv motor and 20amp ESC.
If I hang it from my hand, this thing wants to go vertical at half throttle.
I think it is going to be quite fast.
I am excited and a little bit nervous...... ok a lot nervous. :)
But hey I don't need to use full throttle.... who am I kidding, off course I do. :D

Hopefully maiden tomorrow if the weather allows.
Then if all goes well I will throw on some FPV gear, that's when the fun really begins. :D

Maiden flight video. :)
It's a bit of a handful at the moment, need to tame it down a bit. :)

Very Nice..... Looking good.. When you dial it back a bit it should be a sweet flying plane.. Great windy day flyer

After another couple of flights, FT Arrow Flight 3 I have moved the linkages in one hole at the servo end, this should hopefully give me a tamer machine while still maintaining the resolution.
I have also started taping it up to water proof it and so I can see which way is up a little easier.
Hopefully many videos of this thing to come in the future. :)
