250 Finally ironed out the 3GX problem

While setting my new 250 DFC up after the build, I had a weird problem in that the every time I spooled up for take-off the helicopter tipped forward and I had to abort before any damage was caused.

I decided to check it on the bench without the blades and I found that as I increased the throttle the swash did indeed tilt forward! On closer examination I noticed that the main gear had a slight wobble. This turned out to be caused by the motor pinion being too tight against the gear. I moved it out a fraction and the tilt has now gone and I can take-off and hover - well chuffed!!

Just thought that I'd share this in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Regards

Sweet deal. And yes, a tight mesh will definitely cause a horrible vibration that can mess with the gyro.
