Last week the wife went out into our garden and did a little picking.... Kind of gets you in the spirit. Well... Kind of...

So this is about 1/3 of our pepper harvest. I have already diced up over 4 lbs of bell pepper and about 6 lbs of jalapeno's and put them in the freezer. This is the last of it, and is about 5-6 lbs of Jalapeno's, serrano's and Garden Salsa (long ones in the back) peppers. Don't let those garden salsa peppers fool you, they cross pollinated with the serrano peppers (as did the Jalapeno's) so they are quite spicy.

One thing not shown in this photo is the banana peppers which are a mix of yellow (normal), orange and red. I have about 4 lbs of those diced up and in the freezer.

So yea, we will have spicy meals all through winter.

Oh, and red and green, for those that didn't get the "festive" joke....

It definitely caught me off guard the first time I had these peppers. Just a little hotter than normal, but taste amazing lol.
