Everybody has their favorite servos, whether they are for big planes, small planes, helicopters, or other applications. Let us know what servos you use in your airplanes and where you usually buy them from.

To start off, a great beginner standard servo is the Hitec HS311, only 7.99 at Tower. A servo of this quality made by a company that has a great reputation for this price is awesome! I have these in m trainer and in my Great Planes Ultimate Bipe .40 and they work great! http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDEL5&P=ML

EXI S1123 9G's are great for 35-40 inch 3D foamies and the price is right! I own 6 of these and they move quickly and center well.
EXI S1123 9G Micro Servo

HS 65MG's - these little guys are awesome! I have 4 of these in my 3DHS Edge 540 with the BEC set at 6.1V and they deliver the power!

I can't say that I have a favorite, but I know it's not going to be something cheap. I have some hitecs in my Edge and they work great, some of the best I have owned. The Align servos that I have in the heli do the job great as well.

I haven't been at this nearly as long as most of you, but I have been sticking with either e-Flite, or HiTech servos. My "First Foamie" has HS-55's for the full length ailerons, and e-Flite S-75 Sub-Micro's for the elevator and rudder. They have been very solid so far.

My "Foamie Biplane!" will be running all HS-55's, and my next project is going to run elevons using two HS-85MG servos. The HS-85MG servos produce a lot of torque, and are reasonably fast as well, so they should perform nicely!

I did buy three $4.00 no-name servos just to play with, but I really can't say I would trust them! I figure I'll make a little quickie plane to test them on and report back here on how they perform.
