Hey there HeliHeads. After reading some of the DX6i settings for hovering in the 450's while training, I set my gear up as follows.
( this is off the youtube description),
Burning a 2100/20C Flight Power X-Lite battery in the TRex 450 XL heli outside my patio.
This is with a TC of 0, 48, 65, 65, 65 and PC of 45, 47.5, 50, 75, 100. D/R, Expo at 70/35 for all.
Align 3200kV motor, 12 T pinion, 150 T main gear, Align RCE-BL25T ESC, JRG410T Gyro. Feels heavy, wondering if headspeed should be lifted with pinion or TC? Or is this right for the weight of trainer sticks below?
I can agree I needed a bit or right rudder while I flew this battery, but I was tense just keeping it in front of me. Maybe the wind was causing my lack of control in pitch. Maybe I still cannot put it in my head that the throttle is limited with my left stick and I can lift it without expecting speed to increase. Somehow I still correlate speed and elevation, and throttling up still tells my brain it will get faster.

The times i stayed on the ground were for regaining my composure, and the neighborhood watch crew going past. lol otherwise a full battery.

At 4:45 i kicked up the subtrim on the pitch to +7. I set it back down after not feeling the right adjustment to flying.

At 10:20 I remembered to regain tail in to get my control back.

And with the 65% throttle, i got lots more while only taking my battery down to 3.95 on all three cells.
