E-Flite Timber and Spektrum DX6e

I am new to rc and just bought my first transmitter and plane and have no idea how to set it up properly so I don't crash it. It's a E-flite Timber and a DX6e and I don't have a clue. All I know it has safe and AS3X. Beginner ,advance and expert mode and don't know how to set it up. Can you please help me?

Did you get this set up yet? First thing to do is read the instruction manual from front to back.
Try to do the set up following the manual and let us know how it goes.
