General Digital Blade Gauge

Which type of digital gauge is better to use and why?

Pretty much any of them will do the job as long as they have a zero button. I use the Align gauge because that was all that was out when I got it. And I paid substantially more for mine lol. But any of them will work. Off to the side or center, that doesn't really matter. Mine is centered, but what matters is that the main components, the read out and the electronics, are over the blade itself so as to not put too much stress on the servos.

Between the two styles you posted photos of, the only difference is the mounting bracket that goes on the blade. The gauges themselves are going to do the exact same thing. Most everyone I know, use one like in the first photo. But some who fly 800+ size helicopters, will sometimes use one like in the second photo. Only because that style bracket fits a little better on the wider chord 800mm blades.
