Servos dancing servos

Got an old plane thought that I would bring back to life...
put an orange rx,,, got old futaba servos and my DX8
started off ok,, then my servos started dancing on their own....
but if I move the sticks they do as they are told..
leave the sticks and they dance..
any ideas......
the plane is from the 1980s when I first started flying,, badly at that.........
it is a glider with aileron and elevator.....................

Sounds like the centering in the pots is worn out. You can try to cleaning the pots but there is a high chance it will kill them. IMO i would just replace them.

I trust your receiver battery pack is up to the job at hand? But sounds like tony is right.
