500 Converting Trex 500 esp 3g to 3gx

My Align Trex 500 esp 3g has a wash out base between the head and swash. Should it be removed when converting to 3 gx? Any images I see of 3 gx helis don't seem to include a wash out base. Thanks for any advice.

There are washout arms, but I'm not sure what you mean by a "base". The only base that I know of is the swash, and that is needed. And there are two different types of setups, FBL that use 4 balls on the swash for the pitch as well as the swash drivers, then there is the DFC that only has 2 balls and the pitch arms are the swash drivers. If you can, post a picture of what you mean by washout base so we have a better understanding of what you are referring to.
