600 clutch bell

hey guys how do you remove clutch gear from clutch bell on a align it looks like it is threaded but if so is left or right and were to hold it to prevent damage.

It does unscrew, and it is standard right hand thread. I always wrap the gear real good with painter`s tape, and clamp it in a bench vise, just tight enough that it won`t slip. Then I use a strap wrench to turn the bell. I have never damaged one by doing this.
