I have firmware on my stack-x that came from the Banggood website. My quad flies pretty well. If I change firmware, will I have to setup all the settings again?

Yes you will a firmware upgrade loads a default version onto the FC, although on some of them you can save your settings and them load them after the re-load.

Do a diff all dump and just upload the output after you change firmware. Just remember this was a custom firmware to control the camera and such. You will lose that on the stack x if you upgrade. You can also just run a dump command and it will output everything.
