Quad Calibrating esc's

Do I need to have motors connected to the esc's in order to get them calibrated? Right now I don't have motors on the rctimer frame but when trying to calibrate the esc's I don't get any sound.

Just as Lee stated, the ESC sends out a signal, but the motor makes the sound. Just take the blades off adn you should be fine. Sorry for the late reply...

Yea Lee helped put my mind on the right track. Like I said it's been a long time since I had done this and it had slipped my mind.

I"m trying to put the rctimer frame together as the funds will allow. I ordered a new rx and while messing with my larger quad I found that the rx on it will not hold a bind. And the rx on my TBS also went out for some reason and it does not hold a bind either. So now I need to buy 2 more rx's to get the others up and flying. But at $89.99 that puts a big hold in the wallet lolol.
