500 Bought an Align 450 Dominator Today

Put an ikon on it. And just take your time. Make sure everything spins free and there is no binding. And use thread lock but not enough to down the acres. You only want to coat the threads, not what it is going in to. And post lots of pictures!!!

Get cap screws for it! If you can remove the ones that sit within the white plastic frame braces remove them and get cap screws!
If you can't get em out, your liable to screw up those braces trying to get the screw out. Believe me I ended up buying one side of the frame of one that the dude distroyed trying to get screws out of it.

I actually need new, longer, screws for the tail block where it goes through those. Just doesn't feel like it has enough threads in it. Worries me.

Am pretty sure I just went by stock size screws, but used all stainless steel replacement screws, maybe wrong size was installed it the first place??

the manual calls for 2.5X5 MM for area's like the motor mounts and area's without the braces, where the braces are concerned it calls for a 2.5X6mm
these are the screws I got for mine, The same for the 2.5X5 and I think I used 2.5X8 somewhere, One of the few U.S. sellers that sells them....

The x8 is used to hold the tail supports to the frame.

I'm building a Align T-Rex 450L DFC. I need an Align M430M. They have been discontinued.

What number servo came with your 450?

Cloudancer, they come with DS430's I am in the same predicament if one of mine happens to fail, will probably have to replace all three with something different..... rumour has it though that I think the servo gears from the DS 410MG kit fit the 430
I will probably got with the KTS servos if something happens to mine....Ivan and a few others say these are good ones....

Thanks for the info. My Align 450s came with DS30M also. 3 have failed in two of m 450s. I will look into the DS 410MG.
