Hey everyone,

I crashed my MCPX in the basement this afternoon and broke a couple of links.
Can you still get parts for this heli?

Thanks,
Dino

That little guy is going to be hard. It's been discontinued for a little while now. All though as Tony pointed out you may still find some parts.

That's what I'm afraid of, I like flying it in the basement for a quick fix.

Interestingly enough, I just did a quick search and there are quite a few hobby stores that still carry parts the the MCPX.
This might not be too bad after all.

I feel for helis that have been out for a few years, one should stock up on parts while they are still available.

What is the usual time frame for most mfg. to discontinue a model? 4 years???

Depends on the company. I bought My X3 the same year it released. It has been out for almost 4 years now. Guai since then has made the X3L which was supposed to replace it.

My goblin 570 has been out for about 4 years also and is possibly being discontinued also. The only thing is the 570 is one of the most popular airframes they make. Now if this does SAB will more than likely still support the 570 parts for a few more years.

It boils down to popularity and weather or not the manufacturer updates the model.

Good day to all,
Like many others here,I'm sure, have been waiting for the Blade MCPS to ship.
According to Fed Ex tracking, mine left Champlain, Ill. 2 days ago!
Should be here by Tues. at the latest.
I hope it is everything they say it is.
What a nice tool to help stay sharp over the winter, inside the gym.
Of course I will be using her outside also.
Thoughts from anyone else?
Regards to all
Robert

Excellent Robert, let us know how you like it. I'll wait to hear your report before I decide on fixing my MCPX or buying the MCPS.

Cheers,
Dino
