I have the mentioned setup with the align 3GX unit. I cannot get this thing to bind nor can i find out what the DX9 settings should be for it

DX9 settings are 3 servo 120 degree on the swash, leave everythign else alone until you go through the setup of the 3GX. Plug the satellite antennas into the 3GX and bind with the Tx at least 3' from the heli and the antenna pointing AWAY from the Rx's. You of course have to put the bind plug in, turn the heli on, see a rapid flashing light on the satellites, THEN you bind. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. I bought this heli RTF, sats are connected, bind plug in but always get bind failed

That did it....damn been trying to get this done for 2 days. Since he said its bind and fly, what should my model settings look like in my TX

In your Tx, Just set the swashplate to 3 servo 120º, name the model and make sure you are on helicopter (have to do that to set the swash). Then, just go through the 3GX setup with all stock settings in your tx. Once you are done with setup, you can go ahead and set your pitch and throttle curves and set your DR/Expo to your liking.
