General Best Glue To Use . . .

i need to glue a small piece of wood inside a foamy. What's the best glue for adhesion to both wood and foam?

Quite honestly, hot glue works best and is removable.

Old school white ‘PVA’ wood glue actually works pretty good providing there is good contact area. Takes a while to dry though. Gorilla glue is another good option.

If you have a hot glue gun that works fine too and is ‘instant’ but can be messy and if you use a lot in a build it adds weight.

All of the above or Deluxe Foam2Foam or Silka. I have tried all except PVA, my favorite is the Foam2Foam because it never goes brittle always remains semi flexible and takes longer to set than Hot glue.
