450 Battery not lasting

I had an issue with my batteries discharging prematurely, After careful inspection of my heli I found the Pinion gear on the motor shaft was loose. This meant my pinion was not turning at the speed of the motor. Hence the motor was over revving in order to create the necessary blade speed. Once retightened everything was ok. Just a thought for anyone else who is maybe experiencing this.

Thanks for the post. On your specific helicopter, I would (if you have not yet) remove the pinion and check the motor shaft and the tip of the grub screw. Don't want a crash due to the grub screw chewing a groove in the motor shaft.
