What is the advantage of a 4200mah3c2p11.1v lipo over a 4200mah3s1p11.1v lipo....spec sheet on motor all test data is with 2p lipo packs

There is no difference. 1p and 2p is the number of stacked cells in parallel. Meaning, you would have 3 cells wired in series (3s) then for a 1p there would only be 1 cell of each of those cells in series. 2p would be three sets of two cells stacked in parallel, then wired in series. But, being they are the same total mah, you won't see any difference depending on the C rating. Hope this makes sense.

The 3S 1P will be three 4200mah cells linked in series, to make the battery.

The 3S 2P will be six 2100mah cells. Sets of two cells will be linked in parallel, to give 4200mah each pair.
Then the three pairs of packs will be linked in series make up the battery.

As Tony said, not really any difference.
