Looks like he lost signal or something the way it just kept accelerating. Never tried to veer or anything. Still, so dumb to be anywhere near that close to that or that high.

I read a news item on this and the tower managers have recently found 3 other drones on their property, maybe the signals coming off the tower are interfering with the drone signals?

I agree however incidents like this are only make it harder for drone enthusiasts.

WHAT'S THAT GUYS FAA NUMBER?!?! I will bet money that there is no number on that quad and that he is not even registered. I love regulations that you can not police.

Looks like he flew around the far side of the tower by FPV, and his Tx signal was shadowed by the tower. The drone goes into 'return to home' and of course attempts to take the most direct path back to 'home' not knowing there is a tower in the way. I've seen videos of exactly the same thing happen before, anyone with half a brain would be aware of the risk.
