Chargers Accucell 6 50W Charger

Any idea why my charger jack would do this?
I'm guessing it just shorted out.

that is corrosion of some kind. Could be from a bit of water in there, or some battery acid or something. Not sure without knowing what it's made up of

It wasn't corroded 10mins before i took that photo. It literally melted the plastic out of the jack.

Sweet. I'm not sure then.

It has now happened 3 times. I have just replaced the power plug on the charger. I soldered on a XT60 battery connector to the circuit board instead and put the male end on my power adapter. First test seems to be working well. I will be keeping an eye on it for a while. Don't want any house fires.
