does is matter which way an APC prop is installed? If there is a front and back , is the front the side that has the prop size imprinted on it?

Hey all! Have just completed my first racing quad build, and am really interested to hear other pilots' thoughts on the art and science of choosing a good set of props. 2, 3 or 4 blades, and where does pitch become too steep to be effective? For context my quad is based on a diatone 200 frame
