    General Setting up Flaps

go with neutral and see what happens . if the model rises when flaps are used then add some down elevator . I totally disagree with what Tony is saying. If the wing rises with flap ant you give up elevator then the tail will drop causing a more nose up attitude and will cause the model to rise...

Yes you need down elevator to compensate for the flaps causing the model to rise

    General Setting up Flaps

The plane will want to balloon up when flaps are first lowered ,I find mixing about 8% down elevator is a good place to start . Also on the DX8 you can slow down the flap servo speed , this reduces ballooning and also give a more scale look

    Projects My first scratch build

Thanks guys . It does not fly well , it flies great!!!! Had a race with my mates eflite stick running on 4S and he could not pass me , was very even for speed. Good roll rate , had to reduce aileron travel to 70% and add 40% expo on the DX8 to tame it down :joyous: ,handles well at low speed ...

    Projects My first scratch build

Decided to have a go at a scratch build and went with balsa instead of foam No plans , no drawings , just a pile of balsa and a scalpel. The only guide I used was a leftover rib from a J3 lazer cut kit I got from hobbyking . I used the rib a guide for wing profile and bigger all around as I...

    Prop Trainer PDF Plans

It might have been a tad nose heavy in the vid , I did not take the time to get it perfect . I was a bit rusty flying this as I have been flying my Multiplex Fun Cub the last few weeks and not had any time with this model for a while . The Cub floats in for landing a bit better than this does...

    Prop Trainer PDF Plans

I like it . Its easy to fly and can do basic aerobatics well . My landings are a bit average in this vid as I have been flying other models and this was my first flight with the trainer for over 3 weeks now. The motor/prop combo I use is great and has more than enough power

Cooling is not a problem as there is a cut out each side of the motor and a large hole in the firewall where the motor wires go through . This allows good air flow all through the fuse and there is an exit hole at the rear. The landing gear is mounted level with the front wing retainer . the...

Here are the pics and my thoughts of the one I built . Its taken me a while to post as I wanted to get a good feel of the plane and see if any more mods were needed. The 2 main differences with mine compared to the plans are 1 The nose has been extended to move the motor further forward...
