    600 Trex 550E

I have a 550E V2 and I have had no problems finding parts.. my question is trying to stretch the boom to a 600 to accept a scale fuselage. The boom size for the 550 e V2 is 20.3mm x 21.5 x 549. The boom size for the 600 is 20 mm x 21.5 x 625 MM. Does anybody know what the first number represents?

    Scale Airwolf scale project

Thank you! It took me forever to wire it the way I wanted to. I bought the wiring cover from Heli direct and it took me several trys on how to use it. I think I finally figured it out. I am thinking about getting the bluetooth adapter for the IKON so I can mount it underneath, which would make...

    AMA-Hold Off On FAA Registration

I see where you are coming from and you are right, you can legislate people from doing stupid stuff, but that is who I am blaming for all of this, the idiots doing things that inconvenience the ones being responsible. I guess I am going to do what is asked of me and let the powers to be do...

    AMA-Hold Off On FAA Registration

My thoughts are that the AMA is a private organization and the FAA is federal so basically it is a David vs Goliath scenario. We fly model aircraft and if the FAA sees us as a risk to full scale aviation, (which, you have to admit there are people out there doing stupid things with these quads)...

I went ahead and registered with the FAA. I fly at an AMA sanctioned club and if one of our members is caught flying without the certificate, apparently it is a $25000 fine for the club. It was a pretty painless sign up, the registration is good for 3 years and it's not like the government...

    Submit Comments To FAA

I was reading a thread on helifreak the other day, apparently some guy was flying a heli in a field he normally flies in and he was stopped by a policeman who asked for his FAA registration number. It sounds like maybe this rule is already being enforced in some places. I have been hovering my...

Thanks for the link Tony. I think the biggest argument we have is that we are already registered with the AMA. If something were to happen, the FAA can go back to our AMA number to investigate one of us.
