700 TRex 700E DFC Using a digital pitch gauge

OK, so Ive watched Tony's video on using a digital pitch gauge and how the blades must be parallel to the boom. I understand that with the blades parallel to the boom and the gauge on the front blade, you adjust the aileron (or elevator) pitch range to give you your desired range ie for scale...

FBL Gyro 2 potentiometer pots on 3Gx?

Hello again, another couple of questions on the Align 3Gx FBL controller. All the YT videos I find and watch, no one mentions the 2 adjustable potentiometer pots on the 3Gx for aileron and elevator. The two pots have 0 to 40 for aileron and 60 to 100 for elevator. What do these actually adjust...

FBL Gyro Align 3GX Flight Mode 2 Parameters

Hi, Im watching Tony's YT vids for the 3GX set up (very clear, informative vids!) and am a little confused over the Flight Mode 2 Parameter settings video (number 5 in the series). Im setting up a T Rex 700E DFC. Tony mentions when setting these either in the 3GX or computer interface that...

    700 T_Rex 700E DFC setup?

Old thread I know. However, I wouldnt recommend removing the Rx battery supply. I know this is pretty common in the US but in the UK we tend to fly with a separate Rx battery because it gives you a separate supply for your radio and does not leave you without power if you over extend you flight...

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

    New shaft level

Get the three legged level. Far simpler and easier to use.

    Batteries Hobbyking Zippy Compacts

Ah well spoke too soon  I purchased a Naza H with GPS and BEC module back in July. The parcel hasnt been received. Tracking supposedly shows it despatched to the UK. Contacted HK and asked where the parcel was as not recieved. Said I must wait 39 days as this is the delivery...

    General Transmitter trays

Sorry, been remiss of me not to post a pic of my tray. As I said, just a basic one. Nice wrist supports and comfortable to wear although Im thinking of upgrading to a secraft tray.

    General Transmitter trays

I've flown planes, gliders and helix and just used a neck strap or just held the transmitter. But I feel the most comfortable with a tray especially as transmitters nowadays are festooned with switches and levers! Lots of people think you can't fly thumbs only or fingers and thumbs but, they...

    Batteries Hobbyking Zippy Compacts

I buy all my lipos from HK. Not had a problem with the nanotechs yet. Always had prompt service from the international store. Recently bought a NASA H which hasn't turned up yet. Complained and they said it should arrive by 9 Sept which is over a month for delivery. Tracking says its at Langley...

    General Transmitter trays

Wow! That does surprise me! Yeah I'll try and get some pictures up at weekend. I'm away from home with the tablet so not as easy to do.

    General Transmitter trays

Couldn'tfind a suitable sub forum for this but if the mods want to move, please go ahead. Not sure how (uin)popular transmitter trays are in the US but they are very popular in mainland Europe, especially Germany. Less popular in the UK but, having started out just holding a transmitter then...

    JR Any XG radio experts?

Yep, flybarred heli but I'll also be using it to fly planks and gliders. Even with a flybarless heli (I have one to build) do you not use the mixers in the radio at all?

    JR Any XG radio experts?

Hi, is there anyone who has good knowledge on the JR XG series radios, particularly the XG8? As with most manufacturers, the XG manual doesnt really tell you how to use many of the features. Im particularly interested in getting the best out of the radio from a helicopter point of view and...

    Hello all

Once again, thanks all for the warm welcome. Just for info, Im currently learning on a TRex 600ESP. I intend putting this in a military Agusta 109 fus. Ive got a TRex 700E DFC to build. Not sure on fus for this one, thinking a Marvel Craft 109 UK Air Ambulance or the AS 350 in the ERA schem I...

General TRex 600ESP forward flight & radio set up

Ah, sorry, didnt twig about cyclic. There is Aileron and Elevator (and Pitch) dual rate on the XG8, just didnt follow. Yes, I'll give your suggestion a go. I've increased expo already so will turn down the dual rate a little more. Unfortunately its windier today so if I do get out, its only...

    Hello all

Thanks all! Been a lovely day here in the North West. Nice warm sun, wind about 5mph tops! Got about 18 flights in today and started flying some basic circuits with a couple of figure of 8's thrown in (by no means perfect 8's though!). Windier forecast for tomorrow so not sure if I can get out...

General TRex 600ESP forward flight & radio set up

Hmmm. Sorry I disagree. Keep your throttle constant and "fly the pitch" gives a far better flying experiance. I've tried both and I know which I prefer. Yes, sorry I did miss that. DR is set to 60% on aileron and Elevator. There's no cyclic DR on the XG8 from what I can see. I whacked up expo...

General TRex 600ESP forward flight & radio set up

Hi sorry, yes its a flybarred heli. I've checked the head, linkages and swash through the range of movement and the swash is level. But I have to use a bit of trim depending on the wind to keep it fairly stable. There's no auto pilot of gps fitted so itll only hover hands off for a few seconds...
