Look at page 9 in the manual... it lists a lot of different beep codes and light codes.

I'd try to explain it or look it up... but it's much more complicated that that... ie high medium or low tones ... different speeds on the flashing lights and things like that.

HI randy! thanks for the advice! Have done all that but here is the weird part! To get it to behave i flip it upside down with radio on then turn on switch and she goes into bind mode! Bind it and of i go. all is well- finish flying-change bat and the mad light and tone come back! it dont want to hold bind. when i do bind it again i have done comp cal and assel cal-still goes back to its altimers mode!! Have not crashed it nore do i fly around a lot of metal objects. Open spaces only. Thanks for your time randy!

smitty... I'm not going to be of much use except in general... I don't own a Spectrum radio nor do I fly any quads... so the following is general info just to double check what you are doing etc.

Once you have bound the receiver and transmitter... Always turn on the transmitter first and then the receiver. Power off the receiver first before turning off the radio. Do not touch the trainer switch on the transmitter during power up. Do not bind that model selection ( in the transmitter ) to another model or you will need to rebind it to this one later. In other words, each model selection in the transmitter can only be bound to one receiver and visa versa, each receiver can only be bound to one specific model selection in the radio at a time.

Check for new firmware for the radio and update it if it's available. Spectrum has made a lot of changes and updates to fix it's implementation of the 2.4Ghz radios and receivers. Having too old of a firmware could cause compatibility issues. Check that your model firmware for your radio is compatible with the receiver also ( as long as it's fully updated ).

Thanks randy! that makes sense with firmware as it is a early ed of the dx6i. I do have a dm8 on order so will set it up and hopefully my prob will go away!! U should try these things (quads) sometime! Did u get a post that i sent DOG? Still new at this forum stuff-Not sure if i sent it to u also. In time I will figure it out! Thanks Randy!

You don't really need to quote each post you are replying too unless there are several that replied... it's sort of implied when you post right after the previous post.

Each post is listed one after the other and when I open and it opens to the last one I hadn't read... so I do see your comments to DOG or anyone else that replies.

I like airplanes... they are challenging enough but not too terribly hard to get the hang of. Heli's are a little more work than I care for to get out for a relaxing day. Quads are way too easy for my tastes... Thankfully, they have something for everyone's tastes and desires.

OK I hope this is better! U are right about helis-thay are a handfull. Have a few and my best move is the wallet reach manuver! Lots of bench time verses fly time. Tried planes with no luck. My bud had almost 100 planes no long ago! Most never went up! Has recent health issues-gave almost all of them-with everything needed to fly-spare parts inc. for FREE!!! Nice guy! Just wants someone else to enjoy it as much as he does.
